Deadline to Apply for Federal Assistance is
April 1, 2019

You must apply for Federal Assistance even if you have already applied for State Individual Assistance.

To apply for Federal Assistance for damages due to the November 2018 earthquake click the "Apply for Federal Assistance" button below, or call 1-800-621-FEMA (3362) anytime from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. local time seven days a week until further notice. Individuals who have a speech disability or hearing loss and use TTY, should call 1-800-462-7585 directly; for those who use 711 or Video Relay Service (VRS), call 1-800-621-3362.

Reconsideration is the final step in the State Individual Assistance process. Please apply for reconsideration after completing the process with FEMA and SBA.

Apply for Public Assistance

Deadline to Apply for State Public Assistance is
April 1, 2019

State and local governments, faith-based organizations, community, volunteer and private nonprofit organizations affected by the Alaska earthquake have until April 1 to submit their requests to the state for Public Assistance. The Public Assistance program is designed reimburse applicants for emergency protective measures and earthquake-related debris removal, as well as for repairs to infrastructure damage. Individual and families are not eligible for Public Assistance.
